Fics like Paracosm

"I'm from a distant land," he'd told Phil once, as the rain turned to blood on his hands. "Worse than anything unknown. I'm human.” But looking at his own frozen chest rising and falling in a capsule filled with dense, transparent fluid, Tommy wasn't sure if even that was true anymore. A ship of Theseus with every plank replaced is still a ship, Techno had said. But Tommy? Tommy was just the rot they’d forgotten to clear away. ------ TLDR; Tommy gets a Rubik's cube on his birthday. It goes as badly as you'd expect. Every twist of the cube transports him to a new dimension, and Tommy twists every time hoping that the next one would lead him home, if he could even call it that anymore.
