Fics like Despite the Apocalypse

.⋆ ➽─────── Summary ───────❥ The apocalypse is going great, Sasuke thinks. Kaguya ate the world whole. Naruto’s big plan? “Time is fake.” Sasuke is relieved it’s nonsense. Less work for him. They’re handling it well and pitching cannibalism a normal amount. The real problem is Sakura. She keeps making them want tomorrow, which is frankly inappropriate. And Naruto learned real math. Counterfactuals and spin networks. Sage have mercy. Sasuke has left villages for less. ➽─────── Snippet ───────❥ Sasuke spat. “You let me nearly kill you over it last night.” “Wasn’t that something?” Naruto grinned. “I should kill you now.” “Your reserves are at thirty-one.” Naruto’s voice lost all humor. “You wouldn’t make it past my second clone.” This wasn’t the Naruto who got handed out like candy, that summertime thief, a fox and a fool. This was the second Naruto. That sober, poker-faced creature that ate what it hungered. “Also,” Naruto added, “I rounded up.” Sakura realized, with slow, sick delight, that Naruto’d been losing to Sasuke on purpose. For years.
