It’s Gabe’s Senior Year, it should be perfect. But it won’t be, it never is. All he’s ever known is hospital visits,surgeries, and medication. And that’s all his family see too, no one ever sees past the illness. His dad is focused on fixing his mom and his mom is focused on fixing him. Natalie just gets caught in the mix. He just wishes that for once someone would see him, not his illness. It’s David’s second senior year, he’s done this before. Just in a different country. His parents wanted to fix him. They thought moving to a whole new country would fix what he broke in England, what he lost. He was supposed to be the gifted kid. Too many absences, too many missing assignments, and too many suspensions led to him completely failing his senior year. “He got caught up with the wrong people” is what he was always told, what people who tried to fix him said. He just wishes that for once people would stop trying to fix him,he didn’t need help.
