Fics like The Patriot Party

There was this war. Not the first or last. There was a lot of fire. My house was on fire. Houses and homes aren’t the same things, by the way, but they also aren’t mutually exclusive. This house wasn’t really home, but it was still my house, and it was still on fire. There was this man there, all decked out in red. A Redcoat, I’m told. Those used to be a bigger deal than they are today, but back when I first heard this story, it meant big trouble. It’s all stories to me because I have trouble remembering things from before all of that happened. After that, I was born again in the Catskills, sort of brand new on account of how I don’t remember what happened before that, and they told me that I was America, and that I wouldn’t be endangered like that ever again. A fringe political group, upset at the US government's use of their NP, kidnaps Alfred Jones in the year 1814. In 2022, the final descendants of the Patriot Party decide to release him back into the wild.
