Fics like you kiss me in a way that's going to screw me up forever

Alina’s heart was in her throat. That sounded dangerously close to one of the silly, delusional dreams she’d had when she was sixteen, and still young enough for such romanticism. “You’re an unbearable showoff, Evgenia,” she said, and the words came out unbearably fond. Evgenia laughed, a delicate, airy thing. “Yes, and you detest being bad at things, hm? Sounds like kismet.” God. That was the other thing. Evgenia was fucking cruel, most often when she didn’t mean to be. So flippant in her offering of the kind of affection Alina had longed for since she was old enough to want. That was her way though. She offered affection as easily as she took it away, a bird that was easy to catch and hard to hold onto. “Don’t say things like that,” she spat. or Evgenia and Alina in Beijing. Alina is desperate enough to take whatever Evgenia is willing to give.
