Fics like In the Absence of Legends: Season 2

The Spider Queen has been defeated, but not killed, and her lackeys scuttle about under the direction of a mysterious Lady Bone Demon. When the Monkey King unexpectedly leaves, the Young Sage and Young Successor are left behind with one problem neither of them knows how to solve: Dajing is dying, and they don't know how to cure it (yet, MK is very insistent on the yet part of that statement). MK decides that, while they search for a cure, they at least enjoy some of the time they have alone. He wants Dajing to relax, experience the modern world, and maybe even learn how to live a little. Dajing, however, was never particularly good at any of that. After all, how long can someone live freely with a noose around their neck? TLDR: Read "In the Shadow of Legends: Season 1" before reading this. Seriously, none of this makes sense unless you read the previous installment.
