Fics like Incongruous

Everything is totally completely fine he thinks. Okay, so maybe he doesn't actually think that, but it's what he tells himself, so it must be true; he'll make it true. Sure he maybe might have accidentally signed up for a cross-dimensional mission beyond the point of return. But that was fine; it's totally fine! Except this place stinks and it's always raining, and he doesn't know anyone, and his senses are way out of whack, and he's 15 and completely left on his own in an entirely different world- but it's fine; he'll figure it out. He always does; besides, he's been completely fine on his own so far. What's the difference between doing it there and in another Dimension? In which Spider-Man, a version loosely inspired by the 2000s Ultimate Spider-Man run, gets transported to Gotham and avoids his problems until he absoultely can't anymore. Please remember, everyone, we're never as alone as it might seem.
