Fics like that sweet ocean breeze

“Captain Buckley?” A voice calls out—a very, very familiar voice—and Buck stiffens slightly, smile frozen in place on his face as he turns around slowly to greet his new probie. Between the freshly polished engines, in walks Eddie. Eddie Diaz, veteran—likes to be called eight pack—silver star holder, Alpha, and… Buck’s true mate. Because of course the man who fucked him last night in such an amazing way that he’s still feeling it even now is Buck’s first probational firefighter as Captain. - or; buck finds his true mate on a late night beach run while stressing about getting his first probie as captain; those two have no correlation... right?
