Fics like Murder as Therapy

Johnny Lawrence used to be the best assassin in the business — sharp instincts, steady aim, killer reputation. Now he’s mostly running on beef jerky, burnout, and whatever’s left of his dignity. So when Kreese hands him a high‑profile target (Daniel LaRusso, of all people), Johnny figures it’s finally his chance to prove he’s not washed up. There’s just one problem: every time Johnny gets near Daniel, he forgets how to function. Instead of eliminating the guy, he ends up watching him, admiring him, accidentally flirting with him, and generally behaving like a mall cop trying to go undercover. Kreese wants results. Johnny wants answers. Daniel… just keeps being weirdly charming. It’s a hit job. It’s a meet‑cute. It’s a disaster. And Johnny Lawrence is absolutely not catching feelings — except he absolutely is.
