“Ok, so I go by Hen, short for Henrietta, because I will throat punch you if you call me that,” Hen said, and Bobby could hear the smile in her voice when Buck laughed, “we’ll tell you Chimney’s eventually. Once we can see if you’re gonna make the cut or not. But what does Buck stand for? Your name isn’t anything with Buck in it.” “Did you try to ride a deer or something?” Chimney pitched in. “Oh. No. Well. So there were three other Evans at the academy, in my class, and the instructors refused to call me by the name I put on my form since it’s technically my middle name. I’ve been trying to legally change it forever, but my actual last name is Buckley, so I became Buck. I was able to get my chosen name on my uniform because they saw my pending court dates for the official shit.” Buck explained. “Wait, so what’s the name on your uniform?” Bobby asked before he could stop himself. Hen snorted, Chimney smiled like the Grinch as he chewed his gum, and Buck just kinda stared at him before pointing at his name tag. Bobby blinked and rubbed his eyes, because he had to be seeing things. But no. Right there on the uniform of this young kid was ‘NASH’.
