Fics like The Captain’s Letter

Shane Hollander has spent years keeping one part of himself separate from everything else. He is ready to change that. Instead of telling the Montreal Voyageurs in person, Shane writes them a letter. He leaves a copy in every stall before practice, asking his teammates to read it without him there. He tells them he's gay. He tells them he's in love. He tells them he's terrified they'll see him differently. And then he walks away. The rest of the team has to decide what to do with the truth he's trusted them with. Four players and eventually his coach read Shane's letter. Each reacts differently. All of them have one thing in common. They still see their captain.
