Fics like The Forest and The Firefly

William has always lived in the spotlight-but behind the camera flashes and screaming crowds, he feels like a firefly: small, fleeting, and always chased. Est is the opposite. He's the forest-steady, grounded, a quiet kind of strong. After giving up his dreams of competitive swimming, he's learned to find peace in simplicity, running a small guesthouse in the mountains of Chiang Mai. When William stumbles into Est's world-half-lost, half-searching-they're both caught off guard by what they find in each other. What begins as wary coexistence slowly unravels into something neither expected: comfort, tension, healing, and the kind of love that lingers long after the moment ends. Together, they learn that love doesn't have to be rushed or fleeting-it can be steady, lasting, and true. Because even fireflies need a place to rest. And even forests need a little light. A tender, atmospheric romance about coming home to yourself-and to someone who sees you, truly.
