Fics like Bring me the Sunset in a Cup

"Oy! Next one to call me Sankta will be slapped!" Alina yelled in their direction, having newfound courage from alcohol and camaraderie. From the corner of her eye she saw David offer Genya his arm, who looked both gobsmacked and delighted. Vera and the other Durast gave Alina thumbs up before sneaking after the pair to catch any potential gossip. "Do you promise, Sankta?" Dmitri yelled back. She glanced over to Kirigan, smirking beside her. "Will I be court martialled for slapping a captain if he's, quite literally, asking for it?" He shrugged. "Not if you do it properly." --- Where the General is actually patient, Alina is just a bit angrier, sassier and more depressed, having to deal with the death of Marie, and everyone a tad more human. Follows an alternate timeline from the Winter fete, where they are not disturbed until the Darkling has worshipped Sankta Alina on his knees, and she demands to see the man who murdered her friend. Fluff, angst, comfort, and apparently more smut than was planned for originally!
