Fics like sweet thing

"You're so beautiful," he says. The words would've been drowned out by the shower if he wasn't so close. Wet curls tickle your cheek as he moves to plant his lips beneath your ear. "And very lucky," you add. A small smile curves your lips as you cover his broad hands, where they cradle your belly, with your own. You can feel the look that crosses his face even though you can't see it. Knitted brows. The tilt of his head. Gears turning behind his skeptical eyes. You've had this conversation before. Not all men are like Andrew. Some only seem to do the bare minimum. Despite your foggy brain, you can remember the exact words he had said. 'This is the bare minimum.' --- your husband has been there for you through every step of your pregnancy. through thick and thin. through every ache and pain. through hormonal outbursts and sleepless nights. you can't possibly feel more lucky. he would do anything for you, this of course includes helping you with your clogged milk duct.
