Fics like That moment when your crime-fighting partner decides to put you in charge of an entire city bcz she thinks you're not appreciated enough by said city (she's absolutely right but still)

Marinette wasn't stupid. She's read the things people say about Chat Noir on twitter. That he's just a 'useless sidekick' and a 'waste of Ladybug's time'. And Lying Lila has spread so many bad rumors about him, she's so tempted to punch her lights out. He's told her that he doesn't care what people think about him, that 'as long as I'm by your side, M'lady, it doesn't matter'. But she sees the pain in his eyes when he thinks she's not looking. She's seen how his shoulders curl inwards ever so slightly when the mayor congratulates Ladybug, practically shoving the cat-boy to the side. She knows he heard Chloe's comments on how much of a 'mangy alley cat' he is. And she won't stand for it. Her kitty was just as capable as her, and it’s about time Paris saw that. This was the perfect chance for him to show it. And she knows he won't disappoint. And If Paris still didn't respect her partner? She's more than happy to give them a piece of her mind. or: Chat Noir is left to protect the city in Ladybug's absence. Marinette, Nino, and Alya force the city to drink their 'respect Chat Noir' juice.
