Fics like Establishing Your Standing

He looked directly at Jason, his expression softening. "Todd," he said, and the use of the last name was no longer an insult, but an old, familiar endearment. "No one is forcing you. I would not ask you to stay for him." He then turned to Bruce, and for a second, Jon felt a prickle of fear. Damian was an omega confronting an Alpha in full display. But Damian’s chin was high, his gaze steady. "And you will stop trying to command this pack as if it were one of your soldiers. It is not. It is a family. It runs on trust, not orders." Bruce actually looked taken aback, the sheer force of Damian’s unyielding certainty rocking him back on his heels. Damian let the silence hang for a beat, letting his words, and more importantly, his scent, settle. Then he let out a soft, shaky breath. It was a small, deliberate show of vulnerability that made everyone freeze. He leaned back against Jon, who immediately wrapped an arm around his waist, offering silent support.
