Fics like Oh, For Once in My Life (Can Just Something Go Right?)

Something was always wrong with Shane, probably. He'd always felt out of place, he never got the hang of being chill about anything, he was neurotic, then gay, and none of it ever went away. As his MLH career grew, he began to have the rising suspicion that there was something more to his brain than just being a gay, POC, hockey player- but that was something he'd deal with when he retired. The Metros were fine, the ending sucked but he played with his husband on the Centaurs, and everything was fine... until it wasn't. Or; Shane goes to therapy after joining the centaurs and having a much deserved breakdown. Through their sessions, he goes through how he got there. An exploration of Shane’s brain with anxiety, OCD, autism, the model minority myth, and everything else. No ai, fuck ai
