Fics like to be raised by someone kind

Shanks babbled something, frowning as he struggled to put one foot in front of the other. This time, he managed three steps before falling. He whined, and Shamrock giggled. Dragon sighed and walked over to pick him up. Once in his arms, Shanks babbled something incomprehensible, reaching toward the deck. Dragon stared at him. Slowly, he placed Shanks back on his feet. “Come on,” he whispered, “Try again.” (Amidst blood and despair, Dragon saved two children and became a father.)
