Fics like This is Our Kingdom Come

A little over twenty five years ago, Usagi Tsukino, known to the world as Sailor Moon, grew up. Rather than save only a select few in an effort to save the Earth, which would have ushered in her reign of Crystal Tokyo and the New Silver Millennium, she found another way to save everyone. But it wasn't without cost. Now it's 2025. Usagi lives in Sante Fe, New Mexico, she hasn't seen her adult daughter in two years, and she still finds herself unable to handle memories from her past. Sailor Moon is no more. The Mystical Silver Crystal is fractured and inert. Having kept her friends at arms length for years, Usagi is beginning to feel the urge to reconnect with them. But then a virus sweeps the world, uniting humanity as one, bringing about some twisted version of the utopia Usagi had given up for all of them. Immune and unsure what to do, Usagi begins to have some conflicted feelings when someone she hasn't seen in over a quarter of a century shows up on her doorstep to represent humanity.
