Fics like Greener Pastures Is Better Than Pouring Rain

Hogyoku, a creation of Urahara, had the ability to grant wishes as long as it was fed by immense Reiatsu. Urahara sealed it inside Rukia’s body and drained her power to conceal its existence. Hogyoku, bathed in the immense, wildly uncontrolled power of Ichigo, was suddenly activated. It ignored Rukia’s wish; it ignored Ichigo’s wish; it gravitated toward the strongest desire it sensed—so greedy, so selfish, so utterly desperate. It was the Quincy spirit within Ichigo, which sought to protect Ichigo by any means necessary, and Hogyoku granted that Quincy spirit’s intense desire. And that is how Ichigo’s path veered from what was originally intended. The Quincy spirit, having finally gained the power to protect Ichigo, would use that strength to prevent Ichigo from ever becoming involved with the Shinigami and transform him into a Quincy.
