Fics like 'I (don't) Hate Boston'

Shane Hollander has made a mistake. A big mistake that has landed him as a player in Boston alongside his estranged situationship, Ilya Rozanov. Now, he has to deal with his confusing feelings for the Russian while the secret that is threatening to end his career is unravelling, and Shane just can't catch a break. Ilya is fighting to protect Shane in the only way he knows how - by distancing himself. But he can't resist the freckled hockey player with a weak backhand who is no longer out of reach. ** 'From the jungle around him, Shane could only make out a few words. “Montreal… disappointed… best player in years…” And, “Big scandal… rumours… care to comment?” No he fucking would not like to comment, Shane thought, putting as much spite and anger into his mental retort as he could. Then, one final voice carried through the air and into Shane's ears as he finally pushed through the airport doors. “... famous rivalry… how will you and Rozanov deal with being on the same team?” It was such a shock to the system, hearing that name. What the fuck was he going to do?' ** I've tried to be preemptive with the tags but I'll update them as I go along.
