Fics like A Hand Squeezing You Too Tight Is Still A Hand Holding You

Ash greeted them at the door of the castle, Parrot's hand still held firmly in Clown's as he paraded him through the layers like a trophy. Two diamond players stood to attention behind him. It reminded him of that confrontation, back at Capital city. Back when Ash and Reddoons had found out. The comparison made him shiver. "There he is!" Ash had grinned, too smug for his liking, and descended down the stairs slowly, his arms spread wide. Parrot, despite himself, froze up, his muscles tensing. His brightly coloured wings pressed close to his back, and he suddenly had two gazes on them. "You got further than I thought you would! But I knew you'd come to your senses eventually. My Mafia--" "Actually, Ash, he's here to make a deal," Clown cut in smoothly, squeezing Parrot's hand. Ashswag's face fell, and it was as satisfying as it was frightening. The thought that Parrot was afraid wary of anyone was unnerving. He was supposed to be brave. He couldn't afford to not be, here, in the lion's den. OR Parrot's soulmates drag him into a perfectly built life. Parrot just has to survive their possessive care.
