Fics like Waiting till Marriage

Carefully, Lucifer slipped the engagement ring onto the Radio Demon’s finger. “It’s beautiful, darling." Alastor grinned. "I can’t wait to shove it in certain people’s faces.” “Of course.” Lucifer laughed and kissed him again. “Oh, Alastor. My Alastor.” The devil smiled, wrapping his arms tightly around him. “... I guess it will finally be proper to have you in my bed soon.” Suddenly, Alastor felt cold. “... yes. It will be.” “I can’t wait,” Lucifer whispered, his voice low and full of promises. Alastor smiled. His insides twisted with dread. Alastor had always struggled with intimacy. But instead of telling Lucifer any of this, admitting that he’s ‘broken’ in such a fundamental way, he told a tiny white lie: he was waiting till marriage. For years, that lie kept him safe, and no lines had to be crossed. ... until the night Lucifer proposed.
