Fics like Deadbeat

Hope’s face was purple. Tears and snot mixed on her cheeks. She was working herself into another round of the dry, choking sobs that usually preceded more vomit. “You know,” Klaus said to no one in particular at three in the morning, “wolves abandon their pups to the pack rather frequently.” Hope shrieked. He needed air. He needed silence. He needed… …Milk. During the birth of their child, only Hope makes it out alive, leaving Klaus Mikaelson with no other option but to be the sole caretaker. Or: Niklaus Mikaelson as a single father. It goes as well as expected for a thousand year old man-child with limited patience and paranoia.
