Fics like Terms and Conditions

Ben returned the pen to an inside pocket. Then he said, in a flat, impossibly smooth voice, that he needed to hire a contractual girlfriend. Rey choked on her coffee. He waited, without any apparent enjoyment, while she coughed. Then he handed her a second document: five pages, stapled, a schedule attached, and across the top, in bold caps, AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL REPRESENTATION SERVICES, which was the single most ridiculous phrase Rey had ever seen on a piece of paper. She was too curious not to read it. Twelve appearances. One per month, up to twelve months, weekends only, six hours maximum. Food and transportation provided. Family gatherings and private social events. No work functions unless mutually agreed. No cohabitation. No physical intimacy beyond that which is mutually comfortable in a public setting. Four thousand dollars of allowance for expenses incurred, including but not limited to apparel. There's fake dating, and then there's the kind of fake dating done by Big Law partner Ben Solo and public defender Rey Jones.
