Fics like your scent because it is a treasure.

Maekar presses his forehead to the ridges of Valarr’s spine, breathing in the scent of him. He cannot parse out Baelor’s anymore. Perhaps the distance of time, or the overwhelm of everything else, but what was once detectable is there no longer. Gone. The tears are hot behind his eyes again. I’m sorry. He wants to say it to Baelor. To Baelor’s son. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. He would give anything, anything and anyone in the world, to be able to say it to Baelor. He screws his eyes shut and listens to the wet sounds of Valarr’s uneven breathing, the discordant heaving of his chest. Maekar swallows thickly and presses a kiss, far gentler than he deserves to give, over the bite mark he has left on Valarr’s skin. maekar and valarr suffer through the aftermath of the trial of seven and baelor's absence, and suffer through each other too.
