Fics like Unfolding Madness

Eggman unintentionally sends his two resident rodent problems to the Backrooms and goes in after them where they meet Agent Stone who is overworked, under appreciated and on-the-run from the Bacteria and Async after he attempted to dismantle the Threshold to stop it from eating his world. Armed with a weird glowing green emerald that might just be the key to doing so and a mad scientist who seems a bit too excited to call him a henchman Aban has to hope they won’t die trying. Meanwhile, with reality in so-many threads, Mephiles attempts to once again breach Existence and carve his name into its annuls with the help of the furious Infinite who makes a fine pawn and the Astroscopic lenses he switched out with fakes. Sonic and Shadow on the other hand are on the hunt for the emeralds and a way back to their reality only to clash with the other groups vying for the chaotic power but are faced with uncomfortable truths, Shadow and his Black Arms DNA and Sonic with the truth of who, and what he really is. (An AU of Beyond this New Horizon)
