Fics like Sugar and Salt Air

AU Carmen is the youngest CDC at Empire, right up until he collapses on the line and gets hit with doctor’s orders for a six-week mandatory leave. Banished to Michelle and Stevie’s beach house in Springs, Long Island, Carmen is under strict instructions: zero cooking and absolutely no touching a stove. To make sure he doesn't break, Mikey (who is alive and well) and Richie tag along to keep an eye on him. Enter Sydney Adamu: the talented private chef hired to feed the whole loud Chicago crew. She knows Carmen’s culinary talents, but she didn't expect the quiet, magnetic pull between them. As the heat of the summer rises, navigating the kitchen and each other becomes a whole lot more complicated. Shenanigans ensue.
