Fics like i forget you aren't mine

“We get together, we fuck. It’s simple” Of course Ilya would say that. Of course he would act like he didn’t care, like he wasn’t so affected by this that he felt like his chest might cave in on itself. Because the last time he was accidentally vulnerable and said Shane's name, he was hurt more than he’d ever experienced in his life. “Simple?” “It’s simple for me,” Ilya hoped that Shane wouldn't see through his obvious lie. If he could just convince him that this could be easy, if he pretended to be nonchalant enough, then he would believe him and things could go back the way they were. “I think…” Shane started, trailing off into a quiet whisper. Ilya froze. He braced for impact as his mind raced a million miles an hour with all the possible ways Shane could finish that sentence, mentally begging that it wouldn’t be the worse case scenario. “I think we need to end this. I can’t do this anymore.” *** Shane breaks up with Ilya at the All Star Game in 2017. A rewrite of episodes 5 and 6 if Shane decided he needed to figure out his sexuality by himself, and Ilya is spiralling left to deal with losing his father and the love of his life. Completed
