Fics like Curiosity Killed the Angel

"Goddamn birds.” It’s what Dean thought when Castiel introduced Katarina to him and Sam. Dean hated angels, one angel in his life was enough already, he didn’t need another one. But they needed help and she provided it. Like Cas, she was a god-knows-how-many years old and extremely powerful being, who could smite him in a second if she wished. But she was also kinda like a baby, from it being her first time on earth and her knowing almost nothing about humans and how they behaved. To his misfortune she seemed to prefer him over Sam and used him to try and understand the new world around her. At first her incessant questions about everything really annoyed Dean, but eventually he came to find them almost endearing. She was so innocent. And he kinda liked having to explain the basic things to her. He could practically melt when she failed to understand something and tilted her head to the side like a confused puppy. Okay. He liked her. He probably wouldn’t admit it but he liked her. So when he came to the bunker’s main room and she was sitting with her hands in her lap, tilting her head to the side and with a small frown on her face, he smiled knowing he’d get to explain something else to her. Until she said "what is a date".
