Fics like Following the hopes of the past brings a broken heart to the present

NOT VERY SPOILERY FOR BRAND NEW DAY BUT READ AT YOUR OWN RISK When he follows Ned out of the bodega, he tells himself one thing and repeats it over and over until it’s enough to override his headache completely; This is the only time he will do it. He does it because he’s worried. If there’s something he knows in all the years of being Spider-man, it is that the nights of New York are different. Yes, since the four years he’s become basically a full-time crime-fighting-spider, crime has gone down, but it’s still there. And he made a vow to protect them. Or; Peter Parker decides to follow his past and realizes he can't go back no matter how much he wants to over the span of a night.
