Fics like The Way You Light Up My Day

Afterlife AU (Both CatNap and DogDay are children) It was another lonely “night” in his cell. Or at least he had assumed it was nighttime. He hasn’t seen the sun in over a decade, cut him some slack. His shoulders were aching from the position he was in. You’d think he would get used to it by now, especially since he was strung up to the ceiling for over a decade, but that feeling has never gone away. Ever since he was hung up, he wanted to be free, to have his legs back. But he knew those wishes were unrealistic. Whenever a toy tried to help him, they’d either be killed in front of him, or be fed alive forcefully to him. The dog was tired. Why did he have to go through this torment? The cat had killed all of his friends, or as the feline put it, “heretics”; almost immediately. What was so special about the dog to have to be kept alive in a cell for ten years?
