Fics like A Healing Presence

Nettie Mercier left New Orleans, her father's plans, and her name behind to patch up circus performers for a living. That is until she meets a dying outlaw in a Valentine saloon. She left him herbs and rode on with her circus — she didn't expect to see him again, let alone be dragged out of a bar three weeks later to save his life. Arthur Morgan should have died from his wounds, if not the infection ravaging his body. He didn't. What's left in his place doesn't sleep, doesn't scar, and hungers for something Nettie's medicine can't fix. A slow-burn AU where a circus medic becomes reluctant physician to the Van der Linde gang, and Arthur Morgan becomes something neither of them has a name for yet. Follow along as they try to find a solution, keep secrets, and discover exactly what they're becoming. For everyone who thinks vampires make every story better <3 Story is fully written and in editing. Releasing chapters ~ weekly.
