Fics like cruel summer

Excitement plasters itself onto Dustin's face and he leans in, grabbing Mike's wrist to pull him closer as well. Mike falls silent as Dustin eagerly grabs the radio again. "Suzie! Suzie, is that you?" he says, sounding much more hopeful than before. Except what comes through the speaker isn't Suzie, at least Mike doesn't think it is. Mike's eyebrows make a run for his hairline and he leans over to yap in Dustin's ear. "Thought you said Suzie spoke English, not— well, that's definitely not English. Whatever that is," he says. Not to mention the voice, albeit distorted, is clearly male. He lets out a muffled yelp of protest as Dustin slaps a hand over his mouth, eyes wide. "Shut up. And no, this isn't Suzie, I don't know wh— is that Russian?" Dustin hisses, glancing over at him. Mike looks at him helplessly. "Fuck if I know!" he mumbles into the other's palm. — — — OR: Season 03, but instead of going home after Hopper yells at him, Mike goes back to Weathertop with Dustin and hears the Russians as well >:)
