Fics like What You Did in the Dark

(Orphaned) Two months. Alex just has to make it two months at the Washingtons'. Then he'll be sent back to live with Mr. Pace again. If he can't make it two months, he'll go to juvie instead. And if he goes to juvie, he won't get into college. That much, he's sure of. So he will make this work. He'll keep his hands clean and his mouth shut. He'll get along with their adopted son. He'll do whatever the hell they tell him to. He'll take whatever beatings they dole out―and he knows they will eventually. He'll make it two months here, then another year with Pace, and then he'll be eighteen and can run away to college. But he didn't sign up for love, support, and three unfairly attractive best friends. Or: Yet another foster care AU that no one asked for.
