Fics like The Shadows Watch and Wait

Stalking his way past the vines covering the entrance into the human crypt settled something deep in Scott's chest. The closer to the buried he got, the more the shadows around him raged. The more the ice crept over his hands. Scott, in complete and utter honesty, had never noticed how his magic had a mind of its own. It grew around his heart protectively, it wrapped its claws around those who wished to harm him and carved out their guts. It did more for home than he'd ever seen another's magic do for them. It was his fault really, for not looking further into the magic he had and the things which wavered under his gaze. AKA: Horror version of Scott's interaction in the crypt from the other day!
