Fics like Mercy For The Pitiful

Lilah Silver isn't getting a wish today. Her patron is on the ropes and the enemy ritualists are knocking on the door, at this point she probably isn't going to make it out of this ritual alive. And yet, the worst part isn't that she's about to die, its that the pompous, bratty vampire on the enemy team is going to win. At this Silver can do nothing but watch and wait for them to execute her and her team, I mean, who would waste a wish to save their lives? Who would be so kind? No, who would be so stupid? Certainly not the vampire cruelly grinning ear to ear at her, there wasn't a single chance. ----- When an attempt at mockery brings a great cost, a vampire and a werewolf find themselves chained together via supernatural, nigh-unbreakable means with only one simple way to free themselves. Strong hate in such close proximity breeds inevitable conflict, but perhaps hate may blossom into something else entirely, given that they both live long enough to allow it.
