Fics like The fear of what’s to come

“Humans weird.” “Yeah, I guess we are.” I sigh and finally sit up. The ship’s metal feels cold against my back. “And bad, sometimes. If we switched places, I don’t know how they’d welcome you on Earth, buddy.” “Grace no worry about that. Is no real situation. Rocky Grace no go to Earth,” he tells me, with that overwhelming logic of his. He’s absolutely right, of course. But the thing is… Rocky and Grace are going to Erid. We’re heading to a planet that isn’t mine, where I am going to be the alien. Or: On their journey to Erid, Grace wakes up from a nightmare and realizes he’s scared about how the Eridians might welcome him. Rocky listens as Grace shares his fears with him and reassures his friend.
