Fics like Misplaced Trust

The lamb did not bother fighting against their execution, they would be slain like the rest of their flock before them. Yet their peaceful demise was interrupted by a god that had other plans for them. They agreed to a deal, godly power for almost nothing in return, but of course there is always a catch with these bishops. Just a shame they could not escape the watchful eyes of the bishops even in death. The lamb and Narinder's shared goal of revenge on the ones that have wronged them slowly grows into a hesitant fondness. The joining of their beings forcing them into a delicate friendship, and to their chagrin, some more intimate feelings that they are both doing their best to ignore. They are united only in vanquishing the bishops after all, and what happens after may not be conductive to kinship.
