Fics like My life without you

an early-2000s Haikyuu!! AU, Tobio Kageyama is Karasuno's volleyball manager instead of a player due to dyspraxia, a disability that prevents him from playing despite his exceptional knowledge of the sport. Living alone after his grandfather's death, Kageyama hides his loneliness behind blunt honesty, a love of art, music and fashion, and a fierce dedication to helping the team. After discovering they're both secretly gay, Kei Tsukishima and Kageyama make an unusual agreement: they'll experience all the things that come with having a boyfriend—dates, hand-holding, gifts and first kisses—without actually dating, on one condition: Don't fall in love. As their fake relationship slowly becomes real, the two guarded teenagers begin to heal each other's loneliness, one ordinary day at a time.
