Fics like Underneath the Showbiz

"What do you mean? I'll still be in the industry," Izuku says, voice clear and reassuring. "I'll just be behind the camera." And that's the whole thing, isn't it? Two different sides. Katsuki will be alone on the stage. Alone in his dreams of being a film star. He hates that some naive part of him wanted them to come up together. Be one of those iconic acting duos dominating the screen–together and separately. Is it that crazy, though? They started this journey together. Spent it together for a third of their lives at this point. How will he do this without him? Will he even see Izuku anymore? Katsuki stiffens, bitterness creeping its way up, inevitable. "Hm. Sounds familiar." Izuku's brow quirks, a blank expression masking over. Katsuki just chugs the rest of his beer, exhaling when he finishes. "Sounds like Deku." OR A Very Meta Actors AU - After a depressing table read for the final season of their career-defining show, My Hero Academia, Izuku and Katsuki both end up at the same bar to drown their sorrows. As they bicker, reminisce, and reconnect, they come to realize just how much their characters' journeys mean to them–and how much they mean to each other.
