Fics like Sleep in your arms
Qifrey prepared Olruggio’s favorite for lunch. Olruggio stayed in the kitchen, helping him around with cutting the vegetables,or giving him the spices from spice shelves, or drawing a seal for cooking, or just standing beside him like he'd not want to be anywhere else. He'd stand closer than what used to be the norm, brushing their shoulders with any movement. He'd touch his hand while handing him the spice pots. Once or twice Qifrey would note them as an accident but each time? Olruggio was touching him deliberately. He had idly run down his finger over Qifrey's spine for no reason at all, almost as if he was teasing Qifrey. Or Qifrey is saved from turning into tree. He no longer has to hide his true feelings. He can finally be comfortable with his feelings. Expect, he can't! He's not used to being comfortable. He has no idea how to approach Olly with a romantic intention after running away from it for two decades. But he has Olruggio of the torch with him, the most patient man he knows. Slowly but surely they break the walls built between them.
