Fics like relics of regret

The Phantom Thieves won. Maruki's false reality was put to rest. The world was going to heal. No one but them would remember what happened, to everyone else, life carried on. Akira Kurusu was going back home. Her time in Tokyo was over, and thus, she was going back home. Even if it felt like she was leaving the only place she'd truly called home. She'd get through it. Even with passing wonders of what her life might've been if Yaldabaoth had never taken over the Velvet Room, she was going to get through it. She'd be fine. Sae Niijima is... healing. She's learning from her mistakes. Her years of doing everything wrong, and inevitably making Makoto's life worse are behind her. At least, she's trying to put them behind her. She wanted to be better, she really did. One of them asks a question, the other is offered a deal. And suddenly, it's 2009 and neither of them know what is going, why it's happening, where they are, or why Mitsuru Kirijo looks at Sae like that. (or: after the events of Persona 5 Royal, Sae and Akira (and by extension, Morgana) are flung back to Gekkoukan High School in 2009 with no understanding of what, exactly, they're supposed to do with that)
