Fics like Our Necessary Evils

Before the world ended, you were a fourth grade teacher at King County Elementary School, who had a knack for handling rowdy kids and calming your hot-headed brother, Shane. To the group, you're a survivor, doing whatever is necessary to keep those around you safe. To Daryl, you're a thorn in his side that he can't get rid of or quit thinking about. And to those closest to you, you're simply Honey, a nickname Rick and Shane gave you decades ago. As the world you once knew burns all around you, you find yourself forced into decisions you never thought you would have to make. As your brother slowly loses his mind and his self-control, will you be able to pull him back down to Earth? As Rick shoulders the weight of the world as your group's leader, will you be able to steer his choices in the right direction? And as Daryl loses himself to the unfeeling, rugged hunter facade he puts on, will you be able to help him find his way again? In this world, it's guaranteed that one way or another, you will learn the agonizing cost of a necessary evil.
