Fics like song-bearer

Sharing really sucks, but deep down, Grace knows he’s not the priority. And he shouldn’t be, either. Adrian was there first, waited for Rocky longer than Grace even knew him for. They’re his mate. A mate is always more important than a friend, and that’s fine. It doesn’t make Grace feel better. He gives up on his physical therapy, deciding instead to crawl back into bed. His muscles hurt anyways. The heart is a muscle too, after all. He feels worse with each second, and he allows himself to sob over a pain he’s not sure he understands. On Erid, there's no greater honour than to be song-bearer. But Ryland Grace never wanted honour.
