Ratio thinks the loss of his dignity is probably a sufficient trade. He would make a fool of himself any time, as long as it meant Aventurine kept laughing at him like that—eyes catching against the sunlight, bright, free and unbidden, present and here. Or in which Ratio thinks a surfing Aventurine is apparently very attractive and does something about it.
