Fics like Fear Bleeds Red

“Actually, Dream, I got a really good question for you.” Techno nodded faux-seriously, “Where exactly do ya think they’re gettin’ all those children, anyway?” Dream blinked. "-What?" “Like,” Techno gestured vaguely with a casual hand, “I know they’ve got their whole like, it’s-not-conscription-but-it-totally-is-conscription, not-mandatory-but-actually-is program thing, but like, how do they get all those children equally willin’ to go attack an enemy that’s like, twenty times more experienced and twice as powerful? Just sayin’, are they snatchin’ the children off the streets at like, two, and then goin’, ‘These are your ABCs, kid, and these are the wonders of blind patriotism, here's your deadly weapon, now don’t disappoint the city! And uh, don’t get murdered, I guess, but that’s like priority number two’? Is that what they’re doin’?” -OR- In which Dream meets some people, gets pissed, and gets emotionally thrown through the ringer, or otherwise known as the second installment of my Where Fear Lives series. This could be read as a standalone, but things make more sense if you read the first part as well.
