Fics like Hoarfrost Patterns

“Once we sat together on the roof of the highest tower in Snezhnograd and watched the northern lights. He said then that we would be friends forever. Silly, isn't it? Fae live for centuries, but friendship turned out to be more fragile than human life.” Illuga gently touches his cheek, turning Flins to face him. “Wouldn’t you want to try to forgive him?” Flins raises an eyebrow in surprise. “Forgive him? After he called you a lower race, grabbed me by the ears, and threatened to destroy you?” “He threatened because he’s in pain,” Illuga says calmly. “I see it, Flins. He doesn’t hate you. He’s angry because you left. Because you both chose different sides, and he lost the one who was dearest to him.” While traveling through Snezhnaya, Flins runs into an old acquaintance with whom he had a falling out centuries ago. Illuga attempts to reconcile them. Successful, it must be admitted. [Russian translation available HERE]
