Fics like The Heir Who Chose

When Optimus Prime finds Starscream hidden away during a brief and dangerous seeker heat, one mistake changes the course of the war. Cycles later, Starscream discovers he is carrying Optimus Prime’s sparkling. Desperate, frightened, and with nowhere else to go, he turns to the Autobot leader for help — only to be met with cold reality. Optimus has Elita-One, a future already imagined, and a war to win. There is no place in that future for Starscream or the sparkling he carries. Unable to end the life growing inside him, Starscream does the unthinkable: he tells Megatron the truth. At first, Megatron sees only a weapon. Optimus Prime’s heir could be shaped, trained, and turned against him. But plans made in cruelty do not always survive the fragile weight of a sparkling in his arms. And when the child’s first word is “Sire,” Megatron realizes he may have already lost the war he started inside his own spark.
