Fics like Ashes & Butterflies

Miraculous Marichat AU. Adrien Agreste was a decorated soldier and the man behind Paris' beloved Chat Noir. Until the night his parents died. Now he's wanted for murder, and the city believes its former hero has finally revealed his true colours. Marinette Dupain-Cheng isn't so sure. She knows true crime. She knows how stories are built. And she knows when the evidence doesn't fit. When she finds herself face-to-face with Chat Noir, she sees something the rest of Paris never did: a man terrified of the truth. And Marinette intends to find it. But the more time she spends with him, the more the lines between curiosity, trust, and attraction begin to blur. The closer she gets to the truth, the closer she gets to the man behind the mask. ⚠️ Warnings: .Mature content: violence, murder, crime, sexual assault, harassment, strong language, sexual themes and sex. .
